The person whom I wrote about earlier this year sent a FB message today (although I unfriended him; should I have also blocked? Or did FB ignore the unfriending? No, he is still not on my friends list, but I guess an old message thread still works) asking if I could give him an airplane ticket to California. The cousin he'd wanted to see, who told him she was not up for a visit (especially because he planned to do a lot of high-energy activity), died and he wants to go out for the funeral.
This is a person who did not show any kindness when my grandmother died, or my father died, and who - as I noted in the previous post - only contacts me when he wants something. Usually it's an airline ticket, or money. I think I am going to pretend I never saw his message. He can find his own way there.
Some people might consider this cold and rude. I'm just tired of being taken for granted, and viewed as nothing more than an airline ticket dispensary by this person.
